information

booking

All appointments will require a deposit to book. This amount goes towards the total cost of your tattoo(s). Appointments are not secured until your artist receives the deposit and all deposits are non-refundable.

For custom designs, please keep your artists style in mind when booking. If your artist does not believe they are the right artist for your design, then you will be referred to a trusted colleague. Your artist will draw in chronological order of their appointments. In order to prevent theft and ensure a smooth process, your artist will typically draft designs a day or two before the appointment. Adjustments can and will be made to fit your vision, however, if a major change is necessary, a redesign fee may apply.

scheduling

Your artist will contact you the day before your appointment to confirm your appointment time and location.

If you need to reschedule we require at least 3 days notice so that we may fill the slot with another appointment. If less than 3 days notice is given, a new deposit will be required for the new date as it is unlikely the slot will be filled with short notice.

We understand if you need to cancel the appointment altogether, in this case, your deposit is forfeit and your artist reserves the right to offer the design to another. Scheduling a new appointment will require a new deposit.

appointment day

No call, no shows will be blocked from making future appointments. If you will be late, let your artist know ASAP. Your artist will do their best to accommodate you as long as you communicate with them! If your artist doesn’t hear from you 30 min past the scheduled time, you will be considered a no call, no show. Also refrain from coming more than ten minutes early, your artist might not be ready for you and we don’t want you to wait!

Upon arrival, you will be asked to fill out a consent form. This is required by the health board and will need a photo of your ID.

If you would prefer to fill out the form before arrival you can do that here. (add a link here to the form)

payment

Each artist has their preferred payment methods, but in most cases we accept cash, Zelle or Venmo. Some artists accept cards with tap to pay, however there is a 4% fee to used this method.

Tips are optional but very appreciated. Monetary tips are preferred but we love gifts and treats, as well, if you’re unable!

prep | one week before

Moisturize the area every day leading up to the appointment to prep the skin.

Stop the use of chemical exfoliants and medications like Accutane.

Limit caffeine and alcohol intake as much as possible. This will help the tattoo process.

Please notify me if it is your first tattoo, I will prepare a special kit for you!

We allow the use of numbing cream but you must research and be aware of the risks. We are not responsible for any allergic reaction and if the skin is unable to be tattooed, we will have to reschedule with a new deposit. Please notify your artist if you plan to numb as we will have special instructions for you.

prep | appointment day

Please shower/clean the area, shave, and moisturize if you’re able.

Wear clothing that makes it easy to access the area being tattooed.

Get a good night’s rest the night before and eat a meal within 3 hours of your appointment.

Bring water, snacks for long sessions, and anything you’d like to bring that may comfort you such as headphones, plushies or blankets.

We are currently allowing one guest, if you’d like. Please notify your artist if you plan to bring someone so we can prep a seat for them.

aftercare

You will have the option of plastic wrap or second skin bandage after the completion of your tattoo. More in depth instructions for each can be found below.

Avoid sun exposure, pools/tubs and any outdoor bodies of water for at least 1 month.

Refrain from strenuous physical activity and wearing tight clothing for at least 2 weeks.

Do not pick the scabs, scratch the tattoo or shave the area until fully healed.

Always have clean hands when handling the area and practice good hygiene to avoid infection.

aftercare | second skin

Leave the bandage on for 3-4 days then remove gently at the end of a warm shower.

Follow with an antibacterial soap wash and keep moisturized with unscented balm/lotion for 2 weeks.

Your artist can provide or suggest balms and soaps if you need. Do not hesitate to ask.

Ink and plasma may accumulate under the bandage and form a “sack.” This is completely normal and should be left alone.

If the bandage peels before the 3 day mark, it is okay to remove it and begin the first wash like normal.

aftercare | plastic wrap

Leave wrap for 2-4 hours then remove and do your first wash with antibacterial soap.

Moisturize with ointment such as Aquaphor or A&D 2-3 times a day for the first 5 days then switch to unscented lotion such as Lubriderm or Cetaphil.

Continue washing and moisturizing for 2 weeks or until fully healed.
